Remembering September 11

Everyone over the age of 13 most likely remembers where they were on September 11, 2001. I know I do. I was at American Airlines, trying to keep a network together with duct tape and engineers from EDS. I know I’ve chronicled this day somewhere, but I can’t seem to find it. I’ll come back and put a link when I do find it so you can see what I did that day. I just don’t feel like re-hashing the entire story today. And that is how my life has changed. A couple of years ago you couldn’t get me to stop talking about that day. Now, I’m too busy and the day is too far removed from me to go back into the emotions of that day and all it meant. I feel like I would be ripping up a nicely healed scar just to start bleeding again and I’m not willing to do that.

But to all of you on the "Tuesday team" and any others who were involved in the intracacies of that day, I salute you and remember you. I’ll say a prayer for the victims and move on with my busy schedule.

Take time to observe a moment of silence. Hopefully it won’t open up old wounds and will help heal the wounds that are still there.
