Ok. This is crap.
This morning I’ve already received calls from two people who were involved in this case indirectly. The basic tenet is that this settlement will preclude Google from further allegations against click fraud during the time period.
I’ve spoken with Stephen Malouf in the past, and he wants to create a 3rd party clearning house for all PPC ads checking for fraud. I’m all for that if the technology is in place and the engines will pay for it. I don’t see that in this settlement.
Basically, I feel like Malouf let us down. I’m not happy with this settlement and I think it give Google alot more freedom.
Google’s stock continues it’s downward slide, but I don’t think this case matters a hill of beans to Wall Street. I’m upset. Maybe I’ll post more later.
